Terms of Service

Last updated 15 October 2026

In short

  • Pigeon Invites is run by Tamarin Labs S.R.L., a Romanian company. These terms are the agreement between you and us.
  • Designing and previewing events is free. Publishing one needs Celebration (one payment per event) or Business (a monthly or yearly subscription).
  • We refund a payment in full as long as nothing it paid for has been shared or opened. EU and UK consumers also keep their legal right to withdraw.
  • You’re responsible for your event, your guest list and what you upload. Guests are responsible for the photos they add.
  • Anyone can report content that breaks the law or these rules, and we act on reports.
  • Romanian law applies, but if you’re a consumer you keep the protection of the laws where you live.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Pigeon Invites is provided by Tamarin Labs S.R.L. (“Pigeon Invites”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Romania. Our details are on the company details page.

These terms apply when you create an account and use Pigeon Invites to organise events (as a “host”). Guests who answer an invitation, add photos to an album or follow a business don’t need an account; the parts of these terms that apply to them are in For guests and followers and Content rules.

How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, and what we store on your device in the Cookie notice.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 to create an account. If you use Pigeon Invites for a business or organisation, you confirm that you may act on its behalf.
  • Give us correct details, keep your password to yourself and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • When you sign up, you agree to these terms. We keep a record of when you agreed and to which version.
  • You can delete your account at any time under Account → Delete account. See Suspending and closing accounts.

3. What Pigeon Invites does

Pigeon Invites lets you design animated invitations from templates, send them by email, WhatsApp or a link, collect RSVPs and follow them in your dashboard. It also shows your event on a TV screen, makes videos of your invitation and runs a shared photo album during and after your event. On Business, venues and companies also get a public page, followers, announcements, teasers and repeating events.

We build Pigeon Invites with reasonable care and skill and keep improving it, so features may change. If we change a paid feature in a way that makes things noticeably worse for you during a period you’ve paid for, we’ll tell you in advance and you can end your plan and get back the part of the price for the time left.

We work hard to keep Pigeon Invites available, but we can’t promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance. Emails, WhatsApp messages and push notifications are delivered by other companies’ systems, so we can’t guarantee that every message arrives or is read.

4. Plans, prices and payment

Designing and previewing events is free. To publish an event (make it live, so guests can see it: send its invitations, turn on its open RSVP link or share a guest’s link), it has to be covered by a plan:

  • Celebration: one payment for one event, with no subscription. It covers that event for as long as it exists.
  • Business: a subscription, monthly or yearly, that covers every event on the account while it’s active and adds the Business features listed on the pricing page.

Prices are on our pricing page, in your market’s currency. Before you pay, the checkout page shows the final amount, including any taxes that apply. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. You get an invoice for every payment.

Business subscriptions

  • A subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price in force then, until you cancel. If the price changes, we’ll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, so you can cancel first.
  • You can cancel at any time under Account → Plan & billing → Manage billing. Business then stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and doesn’t renew.
  • If a renewal payment fails, our payment provider tries again for a while and Business stays on meanwhile. If it still can’t be paid, the subscription ends.
  • When Business ends, your events that are already live stay live and editable. Followers, announcements, teasers and new dates of repeating events stop. We keep your Business data for 12 months after it ends (see the Privacy Policy), so it’s all there if you come back.

5. Refunds

We refund a payment in full when nothing it paid for has been used:

  • Celebration: the event hasn’t been shared or opened since it was published. That means no invitations were sent from Pigeon Invites, no guest opened their invitation, the open RSVP link or the album, and no one answered.
  • Business: none of your events has been shared or opened since the payment, or your account only has drafts.

Once an event has been shared or opened, the payment for it can’t be refunded, except where the law gives you a right to a refund (see Your right to withdraw) or where we didn’t provide what you paid for.

To ask for a refund, write to [email protected] from your account’s email address and tell us which event or payment it’s about. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, and usually show up within 5–10 working days. A refunded event goes back to being a draft; a refunded subscription ends.

6. Your right to withdraw (consumers in the EU and UK)

If you’re a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from a contract made online within 14 days of making it, without giving a reason.

Pigeon Invites starts working as soon as you pay: your event can go live straight away. That’s why, at checkout, we ask you to confirm that you want us to start straight away. This doesn’t take your right away, but it changes what you get back:

  • If you withdraw within 14 days and nothing has been shared or opened yet, you get a full refund.
  • If you withdraw within 14 days after the service has started being used, you pay for what we provided up to the moment you told us, in proportion to the full price, and we refund the rest.
  • Once the service has been provided in full (for Celebration: your event has taken place), the right to withdraw no longer applies.

To withdraw, send us a clear statement by email to [email protected] or by post to our registered office. You can use this model form, but you don’t have to:

To Tamarin Labs S.R.L., Strada Fildeșului 4, Block B6, Entrance 1, Ground floor, Apt. 6, Sector 3, Bucharest, Romania, [email protected]:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: [Celebration for the event “…” / Business subscription]
Ordered on: […] · Name: […] · Account email address: […] · Date: […]

We refund what’s due within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method. This right is given by law, and nothing in these terms limits it. It doesn’t apply to purchases made for a business.

7. Your responsibilities as a host

  • Your event. The event is yours: we provide the invitations and tools, but we don’t organise it and we’re not part of any agreement between you, your venue, suppliers or guests. Keep its details accurate.
  • Your guest list. Only add people you’re actually inviting, and only contact details you’re allowed to use for that. Use invitations, reminders and messages for your event only: not to advertise, to sell, or to write to people who weren’t invited (for example a mailing list pasted in as guests).
  • Your questions. Only ask guests what you need for your event. Don’t use custom questions to collect sensitive information (about health beyond dietary needs, religion, politics, identity documents or finances).
  • Your uploads. You need the right to use the cover photos, logos and texts you add, and they must follow the content rules.
  • Business messages. Announcements and teasers only go to people who chose to follow you. You’re responsible for what they say and for following the marketing rules that apply to your business. Pigeon Invites adds the unsubscribe links and the sender details.
  • Personal data. If you use Pigeon Invites for a business or organisation, you’re responsible for your guests’ and followers’ data and we process it for you, as set out in Data protection.

8. For guests and followers

  • Answering an invitation doesn’t need an account. Your answer, your dietary needs and your message go to the host.
  • Photos. When you add photos to an event’s album, you confirm that you took them or may share them, and that the people in them would be happy for them to be shared. Ask a parent or guardian before adding photos of children. Everyone with the album’s link can see them, they may show on the event’s TV screen, and the host can hide or delete them.
  • You keep the rights to your photos, and give the host and us the permission described in Your content.
  • If you follow a business, you can stop at any time from the link in every email or from your follower page.
  • The content rules apply to you too.

9. Content rules

Don’t use Pigeon Invites to publish, upload or send anything that:

  • is illegal, or promotes or helps illegal activity, including fake or fraudulent events;
  • infringes someone else’s rights, such as copyright, trade marks, privacy or their right to their own image;
  • sexualises or exploits children in any way;
  • is pornographic, hateful, harassing, threatening or violent;
  • is spam, phishing or malware, or impersonates someone else;
  • collects people’s data under false pretences.

Also don’t try to get into other people’s accounts or events, guess codes or links, overload or disrupt Pigeon Invites, or copy it or its data with automated tools.

10. Your content and ours

What you write and upload (event texts, guest lists, cover photos, logos, album photos) stays yours. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, free permission to store, copy, resize, convert, display and send it, only as far as we need to run Pigeon Invites for you. That includes showing your invitation to your guests, on TV screens, in videos, link previews and your public page. The permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies that remain in backups for a short time. We don’t use your content to advertise Pigeon Invites without asking you.

Pigeon Invites itself is ours or our licensors’: the software, templates, designs, animations, background effects and music. You may use the invitations, videos, QR codes and images Pigeon Invites makes for your events, including on social media and in print. You may not resell the templates or take their music or artwork out of Pigeon Invites to use elsewhere.

Invitations, screens, videos and public pages show a small “Made with Pigeon Invites” mark with a link to Pigeon Invites.

11. Reporting content and how we moderate it

Anyone can tell us about content on Pigeon Invites that they believe is illegal or breaks these terms: use the “Report” link on the page, or write to [email protected]. Please include the page’s address, what the problem is and why, and your name and email address (you can report suspected child sexual abuse material without them). We confirm that we’ve received your report, look at it promptly, carefully and objectively, and tell you what we decided.

We don’t check everything people publish, but we act when we learn about a problem. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content or make it unavailable, hide a photo, unpublish an event, limit features, or suspend or close an account. Hosts can also hide or delete any photo in their own album at any time.

If we act against your content or account, we tell you what we did and why, unless the law doesn’t allow it. You can contest our decision by replying to that message or writing to [email protected]; a person will look at it again. You can also turn to an out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts.

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly publish clearly illegal content, and may stop handling reports from people who repeatedly send clearly unfounded ones.

Authorities, the European Commission and the Digital Services Coordinators (ANCOM in Romania) can contact us at [email protected], in English or Romanian. So can users.

12. Suspending and closing accounts

  • You can close your account at any time under Account → Delete account. Everything in it is deleted straight away, as described in the Privacy Policy. A Business subscription is cancelled at the same time. The current period is only refunded as set out in Refunds.
  • We may suspend or close an account if it breaks these terms seriously or repeatedly, for fraud or payment abuse, or if the law requires it. We’ll tell you why and, where we reasonably can, give you a chance to put things right first.
  • If we close your account when you haven’t broken these terms, we refund the part of any prepaid period you can no longer use.

13. Liability

We’re responsible for loss you suffer because we broke these terms or didn’t take reasonable care, if the loss was foreseeable. We’re not responsible for:

  • the events themselves, or what hosts, guests and venues do;
  • content published by hosts and guests;
  • messages that email providers, WhatsApp or push services don’t deliver;
  • loss you could have avoided, for example by downloading your photos or guest list after we warned you they would be deleted.

If you use Pigeon Invites for a business: we’re not liable for lost profit, revenue or business opportunities, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. You’re responsible for claims against us caused by your marketing messages or your use of your guests’ and followers’ data in breach of the law.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intentional or gross misconduct, or anything else the law doesn’t allow to be limited. Nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

14. Data protection

The Privacy Policy explains what personal data Pigeon Invites handles and why.

When you use Pigeon Invites for a business or organisation (for example on Business, or as a venue, company or organiser), you decide why and how your guests’ and followers’ data is used, and we process it on your behalf. This section is our data processing agreement under Article 28 of the GDPR:

  • We process the data only to provide Pigeon Invites as you set it up and use it, which are your instructions, or where the law requires us to.
  • Everyone at Pigeon Invites who can access it is bound to confidentiality.
  • We protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures (see the Privacy Policy’s section on security).
  • You allow us to use the sub-processors listed in the Privacy Policy. We’ll update that list at least 30 days before adding or replacing one, so you can object or stop using Pigeon Invites.
  • We help you answer people who use their data protection rights, and with security, breach notifications and impact assessments, as far as we reasonably can.
  • We tell you without undue delay if we become aware of a personal data breach that affects your data.
  • We delete the data as set out in the Privacy Policy’s retention rules, when you delete it, or when you close your account.
  • We give you the information you need to show you comply, and allow reasonable audits, at your cost, with reasonable notice.
  • Transfers outside the European Economic Area are protected as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the law, our service or our business changes. If a change matters to you, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you can close your account before then; if you have a Business subscription, we’ll refund the part of the period you won’t use. Small changes (corrections, clearer wording) apply when we publish them.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can take a claim to the courts there. Business customers agree to the courts of Bucharest, Romania.

If something goes wrong, please write to [email protected] first: most problems are solved quickly that way. Consumers in Romania can also contact the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) or use its alternative dispute resolution service (SAL).

These terms are available in English and Romanian. If they ever differ, the version in the language you signed up in applies.
